
1- Peel pumpkin ans slice into small pieces of 5-6 cm. long.
This is wonderful, light and extremely easy to make dessert. Just another way to make
use of a great vegetable.
2- Wash pieces in cold water and place in wide pan.
3- Pour 500 ml. water over pumpkin pieces, cover, and cook on medium heat.
4- When most of the water has evaporated, sprinkle sugar over pumpkin , cover
and allow to simmer until sugar has dissolved and syrup has slightly thickened.
5- When pumpkin is cooked, remove from heat and allow to cool.
6- Place pumpkin on serving dish and pour remaining syrup over pieces. Sprinkle
with crushed walnuts before serving.
