
1- Boil the syrup and allow to simmer for approximately 15 minutes.
2- Melt margarine in pan and add salt and water.
* These fritters are a Turkish specialty. They are light and crispy, with a moist centre.
3- When the mixture begins to boil, add the flour, stir well and cook on low heat
for 6 minutes, stirring all the time. Allow to cool.
4- Add eggs and knead for thoroughly.
5- Place mixture into a piping-bag, using a fluted nozzle, and pipe 4-5 cm long
pieces into hot oil.
6- Fry fritters until golden brown.
7- Remove from oil and drain well.
8- Place fritters into cool syrup. Let stand in syrup for 10 to 15 mins.
