
SALCALI KOFTE (Meat Patties in Tomato Sauce)
Ingredients:
- 500 grams minced veal
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 120 grams dry bread
- 1 tablespon tamato paste
- salt
- pepper
- chopped parsley
- 500 ml water
1- Place minced veal, grated onion, moistened bread,crusts removed, egg, salt, pepper
and finely chopped parsley into a large bowl. Mix well. Knead mixture thoroughly.
2- Wet hands and shape mixture into small patties. Lightly brown patties in a little
oil. Remove and place on absorbent paper.
3- In a small saucepan, add butter and tomato paste. Mix with wooden spoon until they
blend. Add water, stir and add meat patties. Allow liquid to boil for a few minutes.
4- Remove from heat and serve with rice.
