HERMIT IBIS or WALDRAPP
These rare birds are facing the threat of extinction because of excessive fertilizer use around their natural habitat. Their natural population has ceased already.
They continue the effords to breed hermit ibises in captivity around Birecik, a southeastern province of Turkey.
The hermit ibis is a 75 cms long bird with a bold head and a long beak.
