There were two bazaars in Miletus. The small one is the earlier one, built in the 3rd century B.C. It was about 27 m x 27 m large, with a number of shops around a courtyard. The large one (grand bazaar) was built in the 1st century B.C. and renovated in the 2nd century A.D.
The original building was in Hellenistic style but later on, during the Roman age some renovations were done and the remains reveal both styles in great detail.
